Here's a fun fact in case you missed your science classes in primary school: Ostriches lay the world's largest eggs & are the fastest running birds in the world. At the Desaru Ostrich Farm, which is home to more than 200 ostriches, you get to see these flightless birds run to their hearts content in a speed of light.

The tour guides will tell you all you need to know about these animals. Delicious meals are also provided, where you can sample omelette, bak kut teh, and even teppanyaki, all of which are themed around the ostrich.

One such location is Sedili, a fishing community located in a marsh 35 miles from the ocean.
