No Signboard Seafood was founded in the 1970s when Mdm Ong Kim Hoi established a seafood hawker stall at Mattar Road Hawker Centre. The restaurant is well-known for its seafood, especially Singaporean's favourite crab.

 

Other than operating in Singapore, No Signboard Seafood has also expanded locations to Shanghai, China. This demonstrates the popularity of No Signboard seafood.

Other than the traditional local favourites, chilli crab, the White Pepper Crab is another dish that deserves special mention at No Signboard Seafood. Unlike the usual black pepper crab, No Signboard Seafood was the first restaurant in Singapore to introduce this dish. No other Singapore restaurant serves finer white pepper crab than No Signboard.

The signature No Signboard White Pepper Alaska King Crab cost S$23/100g. The Chilli Sri Lanka Crab with Macaroni, on the other hand, costs $10/100g for medium crab, $13.80/100g for large crab, and $128 for Dungeness crab. Order the mantous, which were larger than usual and crisp on the surface, and fluffy on the interior. It goes well with the flavourful sauces from the crab delicacy.

The Red House Chilli Crab is an absolute must-order. Red House Seafood uses Sri Lankan mud crab for its chilli crab, which has meaty claws as well as sweet and firm flesh and costs S$98++/1kg. It's a little pricey, but it's absolutely worth a shot! The sweet rather than savoury Red House chilli sauce pairs perfectly with the crab meat and deep-fried mantous.
