Porta Porta Italian Restaurant has been around for over 25 years and they have since relocated near Simpang Bedok. Tuck away at a hidden corner, Porta Porta Italian restaurant has maintained its cozy and rustic ambience, with a modern twist in the design of their restaurant.

From the looks of the restaurant, you can see that they have put in the effort to keep the rustic and vintage Italian look. From the paintings to the decor and even the layout of the tables, I would say this is a great place for a more intimate date.

If you are someone who loves Calamari rings, get some Fritto Di Calamari for appetisers. The crispy light brown Calamari comes with prawns, perfect for seafood lovers. Squeeze a slice of lemon on top of the piping-hot Calamari and you are good to go.

Gnocchi is an alternative to Pasta if you want something different from the usual. It is also a dish that is not commonly found in Singapore, but it basically is dumplings made using potatoes. At Porta Porta, their Gnocchi comes with their special homemade Marina Sauce or you can get their Cheesy Gnocchi!

I am a huge fan of Squid Ink Pasta and I would recommend you to try the Squid Ink Pasta at Porta Porta Italian Restaurant. Their Squid Ink Pasta has a rich and briny taste with a hint of saltiness to it. Oh yes, there is something special about this place. You can request to add chilli padi to your dish for a local twist and a kick of spice.
